Wayne County Civil War Soldiers
Welcome to Wayne County Civil War Soldiers, a collaboration of the Wayne Historians Organization (WHO) and George McGraw, who is chronicling the adventures of the 111th NY Volunteer Infantry and Marjory Allen-Perez, former Wayne County Historian, and Civil War researcher.
We are looking to hear from those of you who have ancestors who fought in the 111th. Over the three years the 111th fought, over 1,900 men served in the regiment but we have only found current relatives for a small fraction of them. If you are a relative, please contact us at contact@waynehistorians.org with additional information OR notify us about any errors. These men deserve to be honored and remembered for their sacrifices to unite our Nation.
